?? This 5th U.S. Cavalry 5 Cent Mess token is unlisted as far as I know. This may have been found in the Ft Huachuca area. However, the 5th Cavalry is not listed in "Garrisons of the Regular U.S. Army - Arizona 1851 - 1899" which would indicate a later period for Ft. Huachuca, which corresponds to the token design/fabric. The 5th Cavalry was in the Nogales area in the WWI period. More research required. Inquire - piece is not in the Moneta Museum. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
