The hub of French Oceania is Tahiti of the Society Islands. Another well known archipelago is that known as the Marquesas. All four denominations issued were struck in 1949 or 1952. All have a similar obverse and reverse designs. All have a privy mark of 'a' and were struck in Paris. Designed by the great designer Bazor.
