Street car token for Nurnberg-Furth during the Weimar inflationary period. Twenty pfennig - 1920's. There are 45 different subject tokens in this series. This one celebrates the 1st Steam Railroad line from Nurnberg to Furth, established in 1835. Another series of 3 notgeld tokens was also issued and can be seen here in the Moneta Museum. This coin is proof-like and MUCH better in hand than this photo would indicate. 10 k were minted and, at least some, were issued in encased sets.
