When you see a fetus on a coin you know there's a bold designer at work. In this case, considering the beginning of a new Millennium, and a prominent theme of the movie "2001, A Space Odyssey," you begin to see the connection. I'm listing this coin as a BU but they were also struck in proof (1000 struck). The animal behind the 3D '25' is a Marten.
A very similar Marten appears on an early Hungarian coin by BÉLA IV (1235–70) silver Denar.
