American Colonization Society Liberian cent of 1833. This one is a previously unrecorded die combination of the CH1/5 obverse and CH4/6 reverse dies known so far. Other characteristics are that the palm leaves are detached from the trunk (from die polishing)and the underside of the upper serif of 'D' in A.D. chipped and enlarged. Both features and the use of die combination indicate the dies were well worn. The original monograph by Colver and Harley has 6 varieties. This is the 8th and both known examples are presented here.
