This is what's considered an 'original' MT rather than a restrike. There are many varieties of the MT thaler even among those that are considered original [with an actual strike date in the 1780's and 90's. Search the Web for Maria Theresia Taler and you find a great web site that describes in detail the varieties, mints, and actual strike dates. These have been struck nearly continuously since 1780 but the vast majority are considered 'RESTRIKES'. New information has been researched and published, see the Dec 2014 issues of the ANA's "Numismatists" for an article by Ian Fenn.
