1-08: Tang Dynasty, Emperor Su Zong (756 -762 AD), ordinary size, Obverse: 'Qian Yuan Zhong bao'. These were issued by the Emperor to pay his army fighting against rebels. Larger, inflated issues, were made foreshadowing the Qing issues during the Tai Ping rebellion [1849 - 1864]. Hartill # 14.114; FD 700, S353.
