Porous and very rare, this Hadrian travel series commemorates a visit to Macedonia. OB: HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P. The reverse shows Hadrian (togate) being greeted by Macedonia [ADVENTI AVG MACEDONIAE], she wears a causia & short tunic, she holds a whip. They're sacrificing out of a Patera over an altar. If I'm not mistaken ther's a kneeling cow before the altar. Bronze As, a rare part of the travel series. These are so rare I have not been able to find a reference number and ACSearch does not have an example of the type that includes the cow. Any help would be appreciated!
