As revolutionary and political winds began to blow France begins the Ceres head series. This year and the first year of issue (1870) have a variety type of large and small 'A' in the Paris mintmark. The small 'A' is included in the mintage of 4.757 M and is slightly more valuable. Original toning and nice eye-appeal.
