W.W. Wilbur Store Card Token of 1846. While Wilbur was an auctioneer of of practically everything, he was also an auctioneer of slaves. This token is classified as one from Charleston, South Carolina. See the linked monograph, below, for the full story on these and the varieties that are available.
NGC holder - XF 45. References: M-SC-10. This is a scarcer variety with the legend "Going At Only A Penny" added under the auctioneer figure. These come in brass, copper, white metal and gilded varieties. Above: SC-10, Obverse Type-3 (Period), Reverse Type-B (Bushy Tree), Brass.
Chibbaro SC-1305-DA Rarity R-4 (50-99 specimens known).
