Issued right after the Soviet takeover in 1920, and is the only Soviet controlled territory that didn't utilize the Ruble system. Later that same year, Bukhara converted to the Ruble system, and issued notes until 1923. The 'Type 2' has a hammer and sickle on the reverse. Printed with engraved wood blocks.
