Description: 10 Anniversary of Independence and celebrating the two assassinated Kennedy brothers, John and Robert. The coin was issued in 1969 and 1970 with a total of 10k and the 1970 being the scarcest.

Guinea - 50 Cauris

Description: In a tip-of-the-hat to the basis of their traditional trading unit - the cowrie shell was introduced to their decimal coinage in 1971, the first and only date. One hundred 'cauris' equaled one Syli. In 1988 and second reform coinage resumed with the reintroduction of the Franc.

Description: Gold coin commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the Independence of Guinea. I have all three types that feature US Space Flight in both gold and silver. This coin, and the associated silver issue, were the first coins of world to commemorate the Apollo XI Moon Landing in 1969. Most others were struck in 1970. Mintage: 15k proof only strikings.
