Description: Zeppelin der Schöpfer (creator), Eckener der Führer (the leader), Durr der Erbauer (the builder). Proofs exist, this struck as uncirculated. The World depiction on the back shows some stops on the flight, Friederickshaven, Germany; Lakehurst, NJ, Los Angles, CA; Tokyo, Japan.

Description: This medal was prepared by famed medalist Karl Goetz. It was issued to celebrate President Paul von Hindenburg's 80th birthday. The reverse has the legend Reiches Treuster Diener Deutschen (The German Reich's Most Faithful servant). The medal was minted at the Munich Mint.

Description: Regular issue 1 Mark, the 1924 issue had a far greater mintage than the 1925, the only two years of issue for this simple, yet elegant, design. A low purity silver issue that's difficult to find/afford in very high condition. 75.5 M were struck for 1924 Berlin, only 13.9 M for 1925.

Description: Early Weimar Republic issue struck in Hamburg. This is a nice example that is just a tad off BU but fully lustrous except at the highpoints of '50'. Mintage was 15.423M but this remains in a higher value area of KM. "Sich Regen Bringt Segen" means something like: "Diligence Yields Benefits," or "Hard work brings its own reward."

Description: This is a curious issue because is was struck during the period of the 3rd Reich [Nazi period] while an aluminum 50 Pfennig, that had been struck since 1935 is listed under the Third Reich. This design was struck in nickel from 1927 to 1938. Here again this issue overlaps the issue that is considered the 50 pfennig of the Nazis. This year of issue (1937 J) falls in between two Nazi 50 pf. designs while retaining the Weimar design. This year/mintmark (Hamburg) is the 3rd scarcest of the series with 300k struck. Very SCARCE, most were collected and melted for the war effort..

Description: Only struck in 1932, this is the key mintmark from Karlsruhe. This nice example is problem free and red/brown. The design of all German coins during the Weimar Republic is excellent, following on the heels of the Art Nouveau period. Four Reichspfennig coins were issued in 1932 as part of a failed attempt by the Reichskanzler Heinrich Brüning to reduce prices through use of 4 Reichspfennig pieces instead of 5 Reichspfennig coins. Known as the Brüning-Taler or Armer Heinrich ("poor Heinrich"), they were demonetized the following year.

Description: Zeppelins 3 RM's aren't too difficult to find or afford - unless it's an encapsulated NGC MS65. The Museum deserved this supreme example because airship horizontal lines w/o any marks are just too wonderful. Fine examples like this are in great demand.
